Memorial Day Trailer Progress

Here is the Army Color Base Coat that went on this weekend. He did a Great job with the bondo prep getting most of the dings and pings out before he put on this base coat of Etching Paint Primer. Boy, a lot of steps involved in painting...Next the best coat...the Color Coat!:D Stay tuned!


Unfortunately, No fun for my husband this past holiday weekend :(

Hubby is quite meticulous, he takes awhile, but, I know in the end, the results will be beautiful! Thanx Hun! :D



Meanwhile, I worked on a couple of my small projects, this is my back splash panel, I am painting it a metal/stainless color and I also, the table top I made a faux oilcloth tabletop/tablecloth, I wanted to inlay it on top of the original, but I don't want to take off the metal sides, it may not go back the same way.:( So , I think what I will do is, cut it to fit, which I still have to do. Otherwise, I can just drape it like a oilcloth/tablecloth. Either way, it gives me that farmhouse flair I was looking for. It looks like a real Quilt, don't you think?

A Big Surprise from Tennessee! came today....from Let Me Tell You...Life is Beautiful

Ashley at "Let Me Tell You", sent me the biggest surprise! A Handmade Card made by Ashley, Beautiful! "Flowers of Gratitude Bloom Forever in the Heart", and decorated with a beautiful floral and butterfly decorations, and her Mom is So Talented too! She handmade three items , a teeny tiny bobble dog, a University of Tennessee Teddy Bear, and a teeny tiny floral box....it's so tiny, I can't believe the intricate details on them, and the little chihuahua is a bobble head...how'd you do it?:D Wow! And Ashley also sent three cutie figurines, a Chef, and two figurines, children playing dress up. How Cute!

They are totally going in my trailer! And I will be finding a special place for each of the figurines on my shelf. Thank You and Your Mom ... Big Hugs to you Both!

Happy Thursday ! Happy Trailering!

Hi, Happy Thursday and Happy Trailering to all you Gals!

Since we are nearing the end of my trailer renovation project, i feel myself getting itchy for the open road! Camping and Traveling in My Tiny Canned Ham Trailer, It's about all I think about these daze:D

I find myself thinking of all the things I am going to do in my trailer, the decorating, traveling, the junking, the cooking and relaxing along the way;D



I am even starting to think about what I will be cooking in my Itty Bitty Kitchen
Yes, believe it or not, I absolutely love, love, (that's two loves) cooking and baking when we camp! I have been "google-ing" away, looking for camping and RV or tiny kitchen cookbooks.

Throughout the Summer, I will be including a Cooking In A Can section to my blog as well. I am adding a few links on my sidebar right now, just to get you started.:)




Also, Look to my sidebar for new additions almost daily, I will have Vintage Trailer Restoration Sites listed there as well, with places to buy Vintage Parts, People who do restorations, and fun things related to canned hams.


Clubs and Groups Activities, really , anything else at all to do with vintage trailers. If you come across anything out there in your cyber journeys, please feel free to let me know of something you found and I will add it to my sidebar :)

Ugly Bondo Pics

Hi! Not too much to show right now....but here is the Pre-Painting "Ugly" photos from this past weekend. Hey, at least the bondo looks pink in the photos ;) My husband didn't get to the paint yet, it was too cold to continue with it, but next week...we begin with the pretty color! Yeahhhh!!!:D I'm jumping up and down right now, ugh , Oh :O...I forgot, I'm in the library!

I worked on the cupboard doors, with fabric fronts, I started with red and white check, I think that will go on the bottom drawers under the seats.

I'm busy with gardening and candles right now so I have plenty to keep myself busy with til then. And then, I can visit you all more often!:D Yeahhhh! Again...Ugh..Oh! Shhhhhh! ;D

My computer will be back in a week or so...hopefully. So meanwhile, It will be hit or miss for me on my posts....:( so bear with me please...I'm not done yet :)

My Bad Hair Day!

Hi! What A Bad Hair Day! :D...Unfortunately, this post will go to My Computer...What A scare today...I sat down with my usual jumbo cup of joe in my "Ma" Cup don't have a PA cup yet, still searching for it :D ... Got myself all cozy....pushed the On button , then pushed it again...then again. I could hear the fan inside..but nothing on screen but blank...no pretty flowers, no singing birds, no pretty trailer pics, no farm house fun :( Nothin!





I started thinking of all those lovely pictures, and recipes I just down loaded yesterday, all of those address' of my blogging gals I needed to send out my little giveaway to, :) , uh, uh..now what? I Began to sweat! My Son saved the day! He was able to take the computer to Best Buy and use our warranty to have it repaired. And, Luckily, the store was able to take the battery out , and it reboot, then we uploaded all our files to a outside file...phew....all my Important picture and recipes! Never mind our tax files, household files, and resumes...no here I am worrying about my blog stuff! Uh..Oh! :D I'm Bad!








Had a busy day, though, just the same. Made some candles, made a festive meal for Cinco De Mayo of fajita chicken tacos, beef tacos, black bean tostadas, and cuppa chino mocha rice crispy treats for dessert. And finished up on my blog giveaway.

Still won't have my computer back for about 2 weeks, but between my husband's laptop (when he gets home) and the local library, I shouldn't have too much trouble.
Anyway, I just wanted to let all you gals know that sent me your address for my tiny giveaway, (anyone who still would like to participate, please send me your mailing address, and I will get one out to you too! ) that I will be finally sending them out tomorrow/today, Wednesday, May,6th.
