Busy Week ~ Thrifting and Crafting ~ Home & Blog Neglect!

~~~ Bewitched ~~~
When I was growing up in the late sixties, early seventies, The Show Bewitched was my Idea of the Perfect Housewife!:D I know that sounds crazy, but I loved her Home the way she always had breakfast and dinner always prepared for Darin , (loved David York's version of the character the best!) :D Through her own hand or by magic, It just was how I wanted my home to look, and that lifestyle was what I wanted to have for myself and my family. Well, let's just say, it doesn't always look like that around here!;D
In Case you were wondering where I went, I have been So busy this week with my "Tiny" Giveaway, and of course, taking a lot of breaks for Thrifting I have neglecting my little Blog!:(
I Hope someone is still hanging on out there ;D! For those of you who are:
My Trailer Update is that we cut-out and laid the sisal tile but I have decided that this will not be a permanent floor, but something that can come-up to clean. (we won't be gluing or nailing it) I think this will work out for cleaning purposes and I actually love the original floor which is beige pink with specs of yellow and aqua throughout, and is in pretty good condition with the exception of the door area. So this will be a good fix.
I have ordered several replacement parts, such as the two large red break light covers for back , and two yellow side light covers. Door Handle w/lock.
My Husband says he will start painting 2nd week of May...cross your fingers..If I can just keep him motivated, I'm shooting for the big reveal first week of June!
Meanwhile, Instead of doing housework this week, ;D, I have been Crafting, and Thrifting, and scheming of additions to my Blog. I have decided to add a sidebar item while I wait for something new to show on my trailer. Home & Garden , I will blog whenever I'm not thrifting or crafting, or doing housework ;D, I will blog about my Not So Spic and Span Home, remember, "Clean enough to be Healthy , But Dirty enough to be Happy!" That's My Motto! I am easy on Myself , and my family about the Home chores, but, unfortunately we will not pass the white glove test! Oh Well! ;D
Her kitchen was so neat ,I always loved how she was there to meet her Man as he came home and just the overall sweetness of the show.
I know I'm an old softy at heart .
I am currently redoing, with my dads help, a 1965 Shasta compact, and I couldn't be more in love. I can't wait to take her out finally. I am excited to see pictures of yours, I found you through The Vintage Housewife.
I also love your motto "Clean enough to be Healthy , But Dirty enough to be Happy!" I think that Samantha Stevens was sweet, but I could never live up to her house standards. I'm a perfectionist/OCD & I think I'd end up in a looney bin trying to get things that tidy. I'm fascinated with where you can order parts for the Shasta in this day & age? Can't wait for the reveal also-what do you have baking to keep him motivated?
Hi, thanx for stopping by sweet blog gals! answering TX Doodler's post: to tempt him this week I made my hubby a Tres Leches with vanilla-rum custard sauce Bread Pudding with warm vanilla-rum sauce on Thursday. I was going to share it on Just A Gals's Recipe Thursday, but it got Gobbled Up sooo, fast, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it whole! If I get a chance, today I will post a pic of a bowl of it, it was very yummy , if I don't say so myself! Thanx for asking! Hugs and Smiles to ya! Have a Wonderful Weekend!!! :D
Moderation in all things, including moderation. That includes housework and the rest of life. It doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to please me and I've got very low expectations going along with my high standards -smile-.
I came a few days ago and posted but don't see it here...sigh...I'm such a low tech geek.
