Tootin My Own Horn (really.....)

I just discovered my Tin Cans were used in a Beautiful Southern Wedding in Tennessee, by a Gal named Carrie. Her wedding was last September, she had the tins into an accent as floral holders throughout her wedding theme.

I just thought I would share my delight at then finding out, that not only did she gave these simple cans her her own unique and wonderful accent to her wedding theme, but, her talented photographer, Dixie Pixel , also from Tennessee, brought it all together for her with her own unique photographic style. So much so, that they both made the pages of Southern Weddings, which featured them in an article about Real Southern Weddings. Curious, See if you can spot my tin can candle containers under Dixie Pixels blog link, under Brian and Carrie to see just how she used them in her own unique way. e how to seeYou can find Though this article is not yet online through Southern Weddings Blog, if you live down South, you just might see if for yourself in the December/January Issue. Unfortunately, I cannot find a copy anywhere to see for myself :( I guess they do not sell it here, in Michigan, I have searched high and low :( (Note; if anyone is willing to pick me up a copy, I would be so grateful, and of course send you magazine price and shipping cost :D and a little something extra :)

Though my contribution of my container accent is small in comparison to these two talented and unique women, I feel privileged to have been apart of it, even in this small tincan sort of way. 'D

Thank you Carrie and All The Best Wishes and Lots of Happy Daze to come in this New Chapter in Your Life's Story!

Oh and by the way, be sure to check out Carrie's Invitation and gift shop called ella minnow pea, located in Kingston, Tennessee, if you happen to be in the area, or on-line as well.

You can find all of these links on the right sidebar of my blog as well.

I'm Grinning from Ear to Ear :D , Have a Happy Day!

Thanx for stopping by! 'D

What a jumble!

What A Jumble!

Phew.....Almost a Month without a Single Post!

So Here is what I've been doing...or .... here comes the Excuses...

Went away for a Wonderful 22nd Anniversary Weekend...took a lot of pictures, had a lot of fun...

Came back, sat down at the laptop....and decided to change my blog...

So began the downward spiral. I changed this, then I changed that, was not happy with this change, was not happy with that change. Too many Ideas swirling in this head of mine...and then couldn't make it exactly the way I had in my minds eye...I gave up! Got aggravated with my efforts, and then , Just gave up and stayed away. No, didn't even look back at my own blog in the last few weeks, no not even a glimpse!

Oh I lurked around others blogs, seeing what you all were up to, adding a few thoughts along the way, but, still staying in the shadows...hoping that, when I did go back to my blog...something magical would have happened...

Nope,
Still the same...
Well, here I am, the same little changes I made are still there....not exactly what I was looking for.....;D, oh well. I'll just go with it....at least until my graphic arts / blog layout classes finish...or, until, I get some extra cash...which ever comes first!;D

Making plans for the long labor day weekend like most of you other gals, packing the "TinCan Cottage" with all the necessities.

Promted by a Most Gracious gift by none other than Jennifer Pagnelli of Sis Boom Fabrics I made a few decorating changes, by adding here wonderful red and white whimsical fabric in the Casey Scroll pattern, from her BellBottoms line. It's soft and has a adorable vintage flair to it! I made one pillow so far for my trailer, and plan on using more of her wonderful fabric all over my little trailer! A whole redo when I can afford it! I took pictures of all this, and even a picture of my trailer with its vintage trailer awning up! Yep, I have been holding out on all of you. That's if there's someone left out there, but if not, I will look at my Blog as my personal , indulgent journal . And I promise myself, I will be posting everything right after the labor day weekend for myself or anyone left out there in blog land that might still be the least bit interested.;D

Off to ...

Happy Holiday Weekend!

Have some fun...and enjoy summers last Hurrah!

Rah! Rah! Sis Boom Bah!
( I just had to steal that one! , Thanx again to Jennifer! ;) )

See Ya when ya get back!

BlueBirds of Happiness in My Home!
These are made by me from sculpting paper mache'

I've Updated My Shelf for Spring!

HERE IS THE LATEST!

What Color Do You Think I Picked for the bottom half of my Tiny Trailer?

I will be having a Drawing towards the End of my Final Reveal on my Tiny Trailer for a
" Tiny" Prize ~ Of Course!

Here is another purchase for my tiny little home on wheels!
I will put this on the floor in front of my kitchen sink counter area, It has just about every color I have in mind for my little trailer!

A HandHooked Rug, not sure if it's vintage, but It sure is A~dorable!

On that Note: I have changed my mind on the flooring, at least I think I have, I bought Sisal tiles at Ikea as couple of weeks ago. I think there a nice match to all the birch wood walls, I think it will will warm-up the floor on chilly mornings. And a bonus, they are removable if any need to be cleaned or replaced. Although, they still have to be installed, I have tried to cut one myself , and I guess this is one of those projects better left for my husband, at least the cutting part. :( the measuring went ok, but, all I had was a hand saw and a miter box, that didn't work to well, a little jaggedy...he said I better quit before I lost anymore of the tiles...:() uh, oh! ) He said he would cut them with the electric hand saw. Thanx Hun!
He's kind of busy with the Electricals right now...

Here is his latest progress this past Weekend...my poor husband, pulled his hair out on this one....had to rewire whole trailer, added plugs throughout....well , it's a tiny space, but I was amazed at how many outlets we need!

Here is an outlet above the dining table in the back of the trailer

I found a little Chandelire he will rewire to a plug in type (so that I can put it away each time we travel)

I'm thinking of painting the metal out white..with a little red/ brown/rusty patina showing through

This will hang by a covered chain over the table of the trailer,
A ~ dorable!

Here is the original table which came with a yellow plywood top, It has a gauge or hole on one area, so I would like to glue down a piece of Oil Cloth, checkered or floral, over the top, I am looking around for some right now. Any other suggestions on this one? :)

The sliding doors panel/covers on the storage areas below both side of the seats and above the kitchen area will be done in the same or coordinating oil cloth, then some glass knobs added for a little Sparkle!

These don't look like much now...infact, they are just pieces of thick foam I cut today that I am covering with batting and cordinating fabric , these will go inside end to end in the scallopped area in the back of the trailer, (foramally where the canvas sling bed was stored) so that I can have a flat surface to set all my knick knacks on! You'll have to trust me on this one. I will have pics of this next time you visit!

Its a little hard to see the scallop top , but the foam will sit Inside, to bring up a level flat surface for knick knacks

I will leave you until next time with a few of the cuties I might put on this shelf area

Maybe these Best Friend Farm Girls...they remind of the Farm Chick Gals!

Maybe this truck...if it fits...not sure on this one

I have to add this one, a Tool Kit for the Bride to Be!
A Cook Book...gota be an expert! ....Duz laundry Detrergent...gotta gettum clean! A Broom...gotta sweep the crumbs!...an Iron (can't see it too well) but, you gotta steam out those wrinkeles...frying pan complete with eggs...you gotta keep em fed!...a red handled rolling pin...you gotta keep em in line! ;) giggle... just wanted to see if you were paying attention!

A~dorable!

Until the next time! Keep on Smiling!
